There are variables that affect the sound quality of copied CDs. The burner, the burn software, the operating system, the processes running on the computer, and even the computer's or burner's power supply. The following products produce a superior CD-R recording in my Windows XP computer:
Plextor CD or DVD ROM
Alcohol 120% burn software
Zalman power supply
Harmony Diamond CD-R media (I discovered this product by accident, but it's fabulous)Just be sure for highest quality playback, burn the CD-R at the slowest speed possible.
