Digital Drive: Toshiba DVD/CD 3950, after 5 days of listening by JellyRoll Mozart Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it. |

Okay, so it has been 5 days since I put the 3950 in my system. It
replaced a CalAudio Ikon with the HDCD/PowerBoss upgrade. As things
have turned out, it has also replaced my VPI turntable and my Scott
tuner.
Prior to the lowly Toshiba, I had never found a CD player that
I really liked. I had some that were'nt too annoying, but never
one that I thought to be my first choice when it came to listening.
The Toshiba is absolutely stunning.
I'm sure there are a lot more of these cheap units out there that have better build quality, but, I'm not sure that there are many that
have the same quality of sound with CDs.
Simply outstanding. Now, if it could only identify which track was
playing.......
