Item number 1 is not proven, ie where the Edge CD players are assembled is never really ascertained. The picture posted came from a Taiwanese audio review magazine who like 6moons always uncover the internals to see what's inside the equipment they are reviewing. In so doing they have also exposed Goldmund, Edge and even Bladelius universal players to make use of that same Pioneer DVD transport including all the DAC and output stage. Guess it maybe a hush-hush trade secret of high-end universal players ;-)
