I had an earlier version 1.1??? for about two years. It was a sweet sounding dac. Very nice midrange, a bit soft in the bass and a tad bit euphonic. Battery makes for a very low noise floor. It definitely got the music right. The lack of digital artifacts due to the NOS design was a large part of why I liked it so much.
About 4 months ago I upgraded to the 2.0.
So far IME, version 2.0 is in another class. Better dynamics, greater resolution and extension in freq. extremes and less colored compared to the original. I feel like I can see into the performace with enhanced clarity. It a very musical product worthy of a high resolution system. Mine has Auricaps and not teflon.
