...after I built my anneal solid core speaker cables.

The sound of solid core wire is more focused, tighter and more accurate that kind of feelings and effects.

Sound stage is deeper and bass is tighter. Layers are more evident. But..

stranded cables sound bigger and fuller! But, the sound actually smear around a little bit by comparison with solid core.

Weighting pros and cons, I like solid core better. Highs has less excessive "ss" sound and everything is snapy and crisp in high! But not by a big margin. By all means, mid is not loosing it's smoothness and fullness at all. Just that the fullness is not that splashing! Low is still full and powerful but not that wide! Mid and upper bass are certainly tighter and more toneful(tonetic) but not that rich(in reverberation or ambience)! Again the difference is not much!
