Here's a tip for a very low cost basic IC for a very long run...

...albeit for non-critical application needs (not high performance but, a well behaved "polite" presentation):

To feed a Tivoli Audio Model One table radio's audio output to my bedroom system's audio system; I purchased a 35 foot length of Mogami 2947 dual-channel cable (siamese 75 Ohm mini-coaxial S-Video cable with good specs, and a bare copper design suitable for audio), terminated with a Canare F-12 3.5mm stereo mini-plug at the source end, and a pair of generic-type (but decent) rca plugs on the load end (the dual channel cable's small OD makes it an easy mini-plug termination). samash.com sells it for 56 cents per stereo foot.

While I can't recommend it for critical audiophile usage, I'm quite pleased with how well it does for this rather basic purpose. Cheers
