The caulk backer material makes for an awesome sounding IC, and certainly is more flexible. I'm not sold on the gore-tex, though- as it seems to compress a bit, yet does not have a whole lot of spring to keep the wires secure... The only reason I switched to the teflon tubing is for durability reasons, and the fact that it didn't muck up the sound vs. the caulk backer....
