Long line level subwoofer cable

Hi,
A friend is in the process of remodeling his house and also has just bought a new A/V receiver and all new speakers. He has two subwoofers one of which he has located at the rear of the room. He currently has several Rat Shack line level cables coupled together to reach the rear sub. He needs to run a cable through a wall, under the house and back through a wall.

My first thought was to find somewhere to order about 55' of Beldon 89259. I know its low loss and assume that its rated for in wall use, gotta keep the insurance company happy. But then I remembered that I have a bunch of Alpha cable in storage and am wondering whether it would be good enough for a 55' subwoofer cable. Please keep in mind that it only has to handle 20 hz to 100 hz. Here's the description and link. I don't understand inductance and capacitance as relates to cables so feel free to let me have it if this is a hairbrain idea.

Alpha Wire #2432. It's two conductor shielded cable. The conductors are 16 gauge tinned copper covered with PE. The shield is aluminum/polyester and there is an 18 gauge tinned copper drain wire all covered with a PVC jacket. I believe its used for permanent/in wall microphone/ line level use. I realize that its probably not well suited for full frequency use but do you think it work for a "home theater" subwoofer. I emphasized home theater because this sub is strictally for booms, explosions, rumbles, etc. and definately not for music. He's got a fine pair of Cornwalls in his music system. Just for the record his receiver is a Yamaha RX-Z1 and subwoofer is Axiom EP350.

Just thought I'd save the guy some money and give him the Alpha cable if it will work.

Thanks for yor help,
Bob Samuelson
