I went with the shielded FE-207E's instead of the unshielded FE-206E's mainly because of the Qts. The Qts on the 207E is 0.26 vs 0.18 for the 206E. This makes it a little more suitable for a ported enclosure. For the most part the FE-206E is only going to be happy in a rear horn enclosure. That get's a bit big for my apartment. The trade-off in efficiency is only 1dB or so.
Also the 207 has a flatter frequency response out to 10kHz whereas the 206 is tipped up slightly. There is a roll-off above 10kHz on the 207 though I haven't noticed it much in actually use.
