Correct, I have not heard the D200's in my own system but I did hear them at a show. This is why I have never made a personal judgement on how the D200's sound relative to the Nuforce Ref 9's. I have always referenced others including reviewer Chris Martens of The Absolute Sound (TAS) who HAS made the direct comparision in his listening room. With regard to my remarks about the CIA D200's basic text book power supply and the use of readily available off-the-shelf Hypex UcD class D modules, my comments are factual. There is little R&D investment involved in "assembling" such an amplifier in contrast to the from-scratch in-house R&D and intellectual property found within the Nuforce design.
As for cosmetics, well that's a matter of opinion but I prefer the sleek thin Nuforce chassis design.

- Hmmm...Seems there's quite a bit about these amps that are not "from-scratch in-house R&D" - gme109 20:27:41 07/20/06 (5)
