this may be the principle reason I prefer my YBA-1 (w. 6CA7) to YBA-3 w. skinny bottles on bass guitar - have you used 6CA7 in EICO HF-87? - juat wondering how 6CA7 fares under UL compared to decent EL34 in that appication.

are there any new production 6CA7 which work OK w/o sounding rough & dying? - I've not looked for ages...
